BOSTON, Dec. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Museum of Science, Boston and its EiE team announce a licensing partnership with Australia's National Science and Technology Centre, Questacon, that will introduce Engineering is Elementary, one of the Museum's STEM curricula programs, to primary school teachers across Australia. To kick off the agreement, the Museum recently welcomed Graham Durant, Director of Questacon, to the Museum.

The Museum of Science, Boston, one of the world’s largest science centers and New England’s most visited cultural institution, today announced that STEM Education leader Tim Ritchie, has been named President of the Museum. The appointment was officially ratified by the entire Board of Trustees earlier today following a unanimous vote of the Board’s Search Committee and a vote of the Board’s Executive Committee. Ritchie will assume his role on February 3, 2020.

BOSTON, MA - August 14, 2019 - Funded by a grant from NASA, the EiE program at Boston’s Museum of Science has partnered with the US Geological Survey Astrogeology Science Center and Northern Arizona University to create a new hands-on curriculum unit that engages students in engineering by challenging them to design gloves for astronauts. The new unit joins an impressive lineup of afterschool and summer curricula available through EiE, the developers of the nation’s leading PreK–8 engineering curricula.

BOSTON, MA (May 7, 2019) - The Museum of Science, Boston is thrilled to announce today that the nation’s only engineering curriculum for preK students, Wee Engineer, was named a 2019 SIIA CODiE Award finalist in the Best PreK / Early Childhood Learning Solution category. Award finalists represent applications, products, and services from developers of educational software, digital content, online learning services, and related technologies across the preK-20 sector.

EiE, the school curriculum division of the Museum of Science of Boston, has expanded its award-winning engineering education program to children as young as three with the release of two new curricula: Wee Engineer, which is designed for use in preschool and pre-K programs, and EiE for Kindergarten, which is designed for use in kindergarten. The new curricula are the first of their kind to meet the specific learning needs of our youngest students.

The 2019 Massachusetts budget signed by Governor Charlie Baker on July 26 will include an earmark to provide $50,000 for educators across 22 out-of-school time programs in Everett and Cambridge with innovative curricula created by the Museum of Science, Boston to teach engineering to children as young as three.
